Day 1: Arrival
The distance from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to Hemingways Nairobi Hotel is approximately 32 kilometers, which typically takes around one hour by car, subject to traffic conditions. Upon your arrival, our friendly driver will be there to greet you and transfer you to Hemingways Nairobi Hotel.
After checking in, our team will provide you with a briefing on your safari, aiming to make it your best holiday experience in Africa. Enjoy your overnight stay with accommodations booked on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
Covering approximately 240 kilometers, the journey typically lasts around 4.5 hours by car, but this duration may vary depending on traffic conditions. After enjoying breakfast, your African adventure begins. We’ll drive you to Amboseli National Park, where you’ll arrive at Elewana Tortilis Camp for check-in followed by lunch.
Embark on an afternoon game viewing drive, where you’ll encounter a diverse array of wildlife including giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, and numerous bird species. The western section of the park is characterized by the expansive Lake Amboseli, which typically dries up outside of the rainy season. Later, return to the camp for dinner and spend the night amidst the wilderness.
Day 03 Amboseli National Park
Embark on an early morning game viewing drive followed by a return to the lodge for breakfast. The mid-morning is yours to enjoy at leisure. If weather conditions allow, you’ll have the opportunity to marvel at the breathtaking views of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is renowned for offering some of the most stunning wildlife photography opportunities with Mount Kilimanjaro in the backdrop. Afterward, savor dinner and spend the night at the Elewana Tortilis Camp.
Day 4: Amboseli to Lake Manyara National Park
Covering approximately 320 kilometers, the journey typically takes around 7 hours by car. After enjoying breakfast, we will drive you to the Namanga border for immigration procedures. Once completed, our guide driver from the Tanzanian side will accompany you into the Safari Land Cruiser. With packed lunch in hand, we’ll drive you via Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park for exhilarating game viewing drives.
This park is renowned for its rich birdlife, boasting over 300 migratory bird species including flamingoes, long-crested eagles, and grey-headed kingfishers. Lake Manyara National Park offers a unique wilderness experience, showcasing diverse landscapes such as the Rift Valley soda lake, expansive grasslands, dense woodlands, and breathtaking mountainsides. Here, you may encounter tree-climbing lions, long-tusked elephants, Masai giraffes, as well as herds of buffalo, zebra, and wildebeest.
Afterwards, we’ll drive to Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge for check-in, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro Crater Tour
Covering approximately 80 kilometers, the journey typically takes around 2.5 hours by car. After enjoying breakfast, we will depart with packed lunch in hand. Our destination: the Ngorongoro Crater. Descend some 610 meters into the crater floor for thrilling game viewing drives.
The Ngorongoro Crater, with its 20-kilometer diameter floor, boasts one of the highest concentrations of wildlife per service area. Here, you’ll encounter an array of species including Burchell’s zebras, leopards, cheetahs, Cape buffalo, waterbucks, hartebeests, spotted hyenas, and savannah elephants, among others. Notably absent are giraffes, due to the challenge posed by the short shrubs that inhibit their feeding.
After an exciting day of exploration, we’ll ascend from the crater floor and return to the Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Tour to Serengeti National Park
Covering approximately 170 kilometers, the journey typically takes around 4 hours by car. After enjoying breakfast, we will drive you to the Serengeti National Park, with a brief stop at the Oldupai Museum along the way. Enjoy game viewing drives en route to the Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge for check-in, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Day 7: Serengeti National Park
Indulge in breakfast before embarking on a day filled with game viewing drives, equipped with a packed lunch. The expansive Serengeti plains harbor a diverse array of wildlife, including the elusive leopard, cheetah, spotted hyenas, Masai giraffes, cape buffalo, lions, migratory wildebeests, hartebeests, and numerous others.
Witness the remarkable wildebeest migration throughout the year at various points in the Serengeti, as they adhere to a nearly predictable pattern and route along the migration circuit. Conclude your day with a delightful dinner and overnight stay at the Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge.
Day 8: Serengeti National Park to Mwanza
Covering a distance of around 200 kilometers, the journey typically lasts about 5 hours by road. Begin your day with breakfast before setting off, prepared with a packed lunch. Engage in a morning game viewing drive as you exit the park. Continue onwards to the Serenity on the Lake Resort, situated along the picturesque shores of Lake Victoria. Take advantage of the afternoon to relax and unwind at your leisure. Conclude the day with a satisfying dinner and spend the night at the Lodge.
Day 9: Mwanza to Masai Mara National Reserve
Covering a distance of roughly 270 kilometers, the journey typically takes approximately 5.5 hours by road. Start your day with breakfast before departing, ensuring you have a packed lunch for the journey. We’ll transport you to the Sirari/Isebania border for immigration procedures, where you’ll then board our vehicle from Kenya and proceed to the renowned Masai Mara National Reserve, widely celebrated as one of Kenya’s premier safari destinations. Enjoy game viewing drives en route to the Elewana Sand River Camp. Conclude the day with a delectable dinner and spend the night at the camp.
Day 10: Masai Mara National Reserve
Savor your breakfast before embarking on a full day of thrilling game viewing drives, accompanied by a packed lunch. Alternatively, you have the option to participate in both morning and afternoon game viewing drives, with a hot lunch provided back at the lodge. This renowned game reserve is globally recognized for the breathtaking wildebeest migration, occurring from July to September annually, as well as its abundant wildlife, including Africa’s renowned ‘Big Five’. Surrounding the reserve are traditional Masai villages, offering a cultural experience that you may opt for at a nominal additional cost. Conclude your day with a delightful dinner and spend the night at the Mara Serena Safari Lodge.
Day 11: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park
Covering a distance of approximately 270 kilometers, the journey typically takes around 7 hours by road. After breakfast, we’ll take you on a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley to reach Lake Nakuru National Park, where you’ll check in at The Cliff and enjoy a satisfying lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a thrilling game viewing drive. The park is renowned for its vast population of greater and lesser flamingoes, especially visible when the lake levels are low. Abundant wildlife can be found here, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. Additionally, Rothschild giraffes, as well as black and white rhinos, roam the area. Lake Nakuru National Park is also a paradise for bird enthusiasts due to its diverse avian population. Later, return to the camp for dinner and spend the night.
